Fran + Dan | Beautiful Peak District Wedding at The Izaak Walton Hotel, Dovedale

What. A Venue.I had actually forgotten what the venue was going to look like as Fran and Dan booked me so long ago, I only vaguely remembered what it looked like so when I pulled up to The Izaak Walton Hotel it just blew my breath away. Set in Dovedale at the edge of the Peak District, the views surrounding the venue and where the ceremony is held were just incredible. So nice that something that breath taking is only an hours drive from my doorstep!

Anyway, enough gushing over the venue, let’s gush over the actual day now. It was wonderful! It was super touch and go whether it was going to rain or not but a lot of willing the weather away meant that the ceremony could be held outside and in that incredible scenery. It was bloody freezing though, I had forethought and wore my thermals, thank god! But it was lovely, a really nice ceremony and the cold didn't change a thing.

We went for a little adventure down to the Dovedale Stepping Stones and it’s just beautiful down there, seriously it’s such an amazing part of the country, really well worth a visit. I had a very lovely day with Fran, Dan and their gang (kinda sounds like an 80’s hip hop band) and I really wish them a lifetime of happiness.
