Kate + Rob | Intimate Urban Sheffield Wedding 99 Mary Street with Sausage Dog

99 Mary Street Wedding

So there I am working away in my studio in Sheffield when T who works in the studio with me pokes her head round the corner during a consultation and asks whether I'm free on the 10th October. Well actually yes, yes I am! So I am introduced to Kate.

Kate and Rob were due to get married next year but with a surprise of a little baby on the way they decided that as self-confessed lazy people they needed to just get married as soon as possible, and so they did!

For the next hour after being introduced we basically only spoke about our love for dogs and watched videos of each others dogs and looked at photos... of dogs. Why dogs? Well of course because they are amazing, but also because Kate and Rob had decided to have their sausage dog, Herbert, as their ring bearer. Basically the best news I've ever heard.

Everything about their wedding sounded perfect so I of course cancelled all plans and was set to be their photographer. I was even more exited as I was finally getting to work with 2 of my favourite wedding suppliers in wedding circumstances, Julia Jeckell Hair and Makeup and T from Campbell's flowers.

Everyone did a superb job on the day, hair and makeup was flawless, the bouquets and flowers crowns were perfection, the venue looked amazing, Herbert did a wonderful job at being ring bearer and the food was SUPER tasty - it definitely helped that Kate was in a family catering business. The evening entertainment was provided by Lola Lamour who was just wonderful. It turns out that Kate and Rob have impeccable taste and their wedding has given them the best start to their new life.

I can't stop raving about how amazing this wedding was, I think it was the genuine welcome that I received from everyone on the day - especially because I practically fell out of the car in front of everyone and threw my expensive equipment across the road. But besides from my ungraceful entrance the day ran incredibly smoothly and there was a lot of laughter which I really hope I managed to capture perfectly. Oh and an added bonus of a photo of me, Kate and Rob which I strangely trusted a very drunk father to take on my camera, well I had thrown half my equipment on the floor earlier so why not?

Also, didn't Kate look incredible for a pregnant bride?
