Katy + Carl | Wes Anderson Inspired Wedding at Abbeydale Picture House Sheffield
I seriously don't even know where to begin with this wedding. What can I say about 2 of the most beautiful humans I have ever met? I think I may have to cut this one a bit short or we'll be here for a while.
I met Katy a few years ago on a headwear photoshoot and our friendship blossomed over a love of all things weird, I tried to just use her for her amazing modelling skills but turns out I like her too much. Then Carl came along and I mean, what a perfectly matched pair though really? I'll probably only say this once in my life, but he's a babe.
They wanted their wedding to be Wes Anderson themed so chose Abbeydale Picture House as their venue as it fitted what they wanted perfectly, it also has a huge screen so before the ceremony they were able to play a video their friends made about how they met. It was SUPER CUTE!
There were lots of Wes themed things dotted around, it was just amazing the amount of work and careful planning they put into the day. Everything just looked wonderful, including the wedding party. Everyone looked beautiful! The smallest bridesmaids wore little fox ears in a homage to Fantastic Mr Fox and just looked so sweet.
My favourite prop was a beautiful tipi made by the mega talented T at Campbell's Flowers. It looked phenomenal and matched the theme of the day just perfectly. There were so many people involved in this day I don't think I could possibly mention them all but I'll try.
The day was just wonderful, it was a total pleasure to be there as photographer, videographer, guest and friend. It's safe to say that I was exhausted by the end of the day, but incredibly happy. You can check out the video I made of their day below.
But before I run out of steam I will attempt to name all those involved: Venue - Abbeydale Picture House, Flowers - Campbells Flowers, Headwear - Amanda Moon, Hair - Niamh at Gypsy Rose, Makeup - Emma Kendall, Dress + Veil - Susanna Greening, Ears - Imogens Imagination, Planner - Inner City Weddings. That's it for now, my fingers hurt.
